Wine Tasting: Who is Beethoven’s Immortal Beloved?

November 19 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

$40

It’s a mystery! To Whom did Beethoven address his “Immortal Beloved” letter???

Beethoven had a lot of love angst, part of which was spelled out in a letter he wrote to a mystery beloved one hot summer in 1812. The letter went unsent, but to whom was it actually written?

Was it a Hungarian Countess? The wealthy daughter of an Austrian diplomat? A confidante and patron of arts and letters? Or one of the many women to whom he taught piano?

We’ll never know… or will we?

Join us to examine 5 candidates for “Immortal Beloved” and taste 5 wines that we find along the way.

What will we taste?

  • Fuhrgassl-Huber, Grüner Veltliner Klassik (2018)
  • Peter Jakob Kühn, Riesling Hallgarten Rheinschiefer Trocken (2018)
  • Tasca d’Almerita, Sicilia Regaleali Bianco (2017)
  • Weinhaus Heger, Pinot Noir (2015)
  • Vinosia, Irpinia Aglianico Neromora

Led by Jet’s owner and Wining Archaeologist, Jill Weber, our tastings will transport you to a different place and time as we delve into the history of the wine, the region, and the people who make it. Each class features 5 wines that we taste while discovering the fun facts and peculiar histories of each wine’s locale.

BONUS: A limited quantity of these bottles will be available for sale to-go!

Your ticket entitles you to our 5-wine tasting plus light snacks, as well as 15% off your evening’s bar tab AND special pricing on bottles of the evening’s wines (for to-go sales). Seating is limited.
