Lula's Empanadas Pop Up in the Wine Garden
For a second year in a row, Philly’s own Lula’s Empanadas will be popping up in the wine garden! When Yaslyn Lora was only 5 years old, she began assisting her mother, Lula, in the kitchen while she cooked empanadas for their large family gatherings. This Dominican tradition is continued through Lula’s Empanadas, with their crispy fried pastry shells and delicious, intriguing fillings — perfect on a late spring day in the garden. And, of course, us being Jet, we will have a wine pairing for each of these bad boys (check out the menu here!).

Sip & Sojourn Bourbon Release
Join us to celebrate the release of our 2024 bourbon collaboration with Philly’s own New Liberty Distillery by sipping and sojourning your way across South Street between Jet and Rex! A Taste of the Soul Wine Dinner
Join us to celebrate Black History Month as we feature two of Philly’s brightest up and coming chefs, Chef Elyse Parker & Chef Autumn Bey, as they present a menu of five dishes– each with a wine pairing, of course– inspired by their culinary backgrounds and utilizing fresh and local ingredients. From a raw collard salad to homemade butter pecan ice cream– and so much more in between– this menu is bursting with flavor, finesse, and most of all, fun.

Turkish Road Trip Wine Tasting
Can you believe we’re already at #6 in our Road Trip Wine Tasting series? This time we’re heading to another classic Ancient World wine country – Turkey! Join us on a journey via wine through the crossroads of east and west, as we explore the country’s various wine regions by sipping on some bottles, each with a paired food course, and visit virtual tourist attractions. Artist Maria Schneider will discuss and show her latest exhibit and Jet Wine Bar’s owner, Jill Weber, will guide you through a corresponding wine tasting.
Maria celebrates the work of women architects with her exhibit, PLAYING WITH HOUSES - Women Architects That Made a Difference. Honoring Zaha Hadid, Minerva Parker, Jeanne Gang, and more, Maria’s latest exhibit brings the works of women architects to life in layers of plexiglass and light depicting their creations.In turn, Jill will conduct a tasting through wines of varying “structure”, with wines ranging from the Canary Islands, to Morocco, to Argentina.

We know we have a lot of pop ups here at Jet, but this is one you do NOT wanna miss! Winemaker & founder Anish Patel of California’s Tinto Amorio Wines will be at the wine garden, hanging out and pouring samples of his three amazing wines, while Philly’s own Chef Reuben Asaram cooks up a menu of his signature South Asian meets Mexican offerings, all utilizing Tinto Amorio wines as braises, vinaigrettes, and more in each dish. With summer winding down, it’s boutta be indoor wine tasting season again! Fall Souk at Jet Wine Bar
Join us in the wine garden for Jet’s first annual fall Middle Eastern-inspired pop up party! This year, we’ll be featuring local vendors such as Minimal Chaos, Ayoka Apothecary Teas, and more, as well as a DIY sidewalk flea market right outside the garden. FOUR PAINTINGS (money for explosives) - John Thomas Emory Art Show Opening
Starting from Friday, August 4th and running through the early winter, Sojourn’s own bartender & artist John Thomas Emory will be displaying four of his works in the indoor bar at Jet. All paintings are for sale, with details and purchasing available through his website and $100 of each sale being donated to ATL Solidarity to assist in defending the Weelaunee forest against its razing for the construction of Cop City. John will be bartending for the opening night & serving up a special Cynar Black Manhattan signature cocktail alongside our regular bar menu, with complimentary bites available.
About the Artist:
Reminiscent of the DIY aesthetics of underground media, this work relies on tried-and-true cut-and-paste equations combining printmaking and roughshod painting techniques. Made with mediums and surfaces more likely obtained at a hardware store, marks are made either spontaneously or with malice aforethought resulting in a heuristic and hastened application and process. A transfer of images over multiple analog steps further skews the perception and vantage point of the viewer. Images appear and disappear, painted over, leaving little but the ghost of that which came before them.
About ATL Solidarity:
The fight against ecological destruction and racialized violence in the US and beyond are inextricably linked. Today, climate collapse disproportionately affects disadvantaged groups such as Atlanta's Black communities. Rather than investing in solutions to the environmental crisis, governments are investing in heavier policing, especially of those disadvantaged groups. Atlanta's tree canopy is one of its main sources of resiliency in the face of climate change. Nevertheless, the police are set to bulldoze every inch of it. The period of planetary climate collapse that we are all living in will continue to pose urgent and unsettling questions to our species as we fight for dignity in a world of increasingly dangerous wildfires, floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, and mass extinction.
Rather than address the problems as they present themselves, world and local leaders are hurling us into the fire. As we fight for a life worth living, the system seems prepared to prop up its petroleum-based economy with tear gas and lines of riot police. Defend the Forest/Stop Cop City is one part of a larger struggle dedicated to opening up a different path forward.

Our initial Malaysian Wine Dinners with Ange Branca of Sate Kampar were such successes, we knew we had to continue our partnership! Organ meat, also known as offal, is commonly used in drinking snacks across the eastern world — and it’s time for the west to taste what the rest of the animal has to offer! This wine dinner will feature five dishes, each made with a typically under-utilized organ, all paired perfectly with wines from across the globe by owner Jill Weber. With Malaysian dishes expertly crafted by Ange Branca, a heart dissection by Dr. Jonathan Reisman M.
